Beauty of the Lord

Summer has ended and the weather has changed

and another season has begun

I'm almost certain that time is moving faster

and days are much much shorter then they were when I was young

I'm almost certain

.almost.

a week can go by in 1 day

or maybe its just the joy of being a mom

or maybe I'm just too busy

whatever the case..

I need to slow down and enjoy the day..

just to enjoy the beauty of the Lord..

each and everyday

God has given me this amazing pink flower where its beauty shines among the rusted

He has given me this amazing little girl with the bluest eyes and delicate curls

that just melt your heart to pieces

this say it all- perfectly

beans and blankets

Its been a sniffles and sneezes kind of day..

or should I say WEEK.

My poor baby is not feeling to well

so its time to snuggle up and bring out the good stuff

Yes my little girl LOVES beans!

I'm so proud:)

these are some mean beans

a.m.a.z.i.n.g.

add a side of potatoes = total awesomeness.

Campfire Beans

1/2 cup barbecue sauce

1/2 cup ketchup

1/3 cup sugar

1/3 cup packed brown sugar

1 teaspoon ground mustard

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon chili powder

1/4 teaspoon pepper

1/2 pound ground beef, cooked and drained

1/2 pound bacon, cooked and crumbled

1/2 pound uncooked bratwurst links, cut into 1-inch slices, cooked and drained

1 can (16oz) kidney beans, rinsed and drained

1 can (15-3/4oz) pork and beans

1 can (15-1/4oz) lima beans, rinsed and drained

1 can (16oz) chili beans, undrained

Combine the first 8 ingredients; mix well. Add cooked beef, bacon and bratwurst.

Stir in all of the beans.

Pour into a 2 quart baking dish. Bake uncovered at 350 for 1 hour, or heated through

yield 10-12 servings

*heat in a kettle of a campfire or slowly heat on stove top.

day.

In this blah day

I found something.

something that made me think

something that gave me a change of heart

something that made me want to un blah my blah day

something simple.

as WE.

In my rough night, I was able to hold our little blessing

In this rainy day, I had a home to keep me dry

On this cold day, I had clothes to keep me warm
